About the owner of eye candy opticianry

Cerrill Meister, the owner of eye candy opticianry, opened her shop in May 2007. She has worked in the eye-care business since the mid-1980s. As a Johns Hopkins trained orthoptist and ophthalmic technician, she developed a broad understanding of customers’ eyeglass needs. She then ran the optical shop at the ophthalmology practice at the University of Maryland downtown. To satisfy her entrepreneurial inclination, she opened her own shop. She is a member of the Opticians Association of America and of the Opticians Guild of America. Her goal is to take care of her customers to the best of her ability. She has worked to impress that work ethic on her staff as well.

Getting the right prescription lenses

We do not do eye exams on the premises, but are able to provide almost any type of lenses that your eye care provider specifies to meet your visual needs:  myopia (nearsighted), hyperopia (farsighted), astigmatism, presbyopia (difficulty with near vision), and strabismus. These needs are addressed with single vision and multi-focal lenses, with or without cylinder correction and prism. All lenses are processed with top-rated anti-reflective lens treatment.
